From its rich literary scene and grand Gothic cathedrals to its many pubs, Dublin is definitely worth a visit.
This fall, you can tour Ireland’s capital thanks to round-trip flights for under $500.
With this fairly flexible deal, you can fly to Dublin nonstop from major cities like New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Seattle. Other cities like Chicago and Miami also have discounted flights to Dublin, but they include a layover.
This deal also includes some round-trip flights to Shannon, Ireland — a quaint town that includes tourist attractions like an aviation museum and a medieval fortress — for a little over $500.
The deal is only for economy fares, and tickets are discounted by at least 40% from their standard price.

We recommend using Google Flights to determine your best dates and then booking your flight directly with the airline. Prices on Google Flights are sometimes lower than the airline’s because the site offers third-party booking options.
Booking directly with airlines is a typically more convenient option if there’s a delay, cancellation or booking change.
When booking a flight to DUB from JFK, we found that fares from Delta were approximately the same as those advertised on Google Flights. With the basic economy option, a nonstop round-trip flight from JFK to DUB cost $488.17 on Delta’s website.
Keep in mind that Delta charges an additional $75 for your first checked bag and $100 for a second one. The airline allows one free carry-on.
If booking a flight from Boston to Dublin, note that Google Flights shows prices at $373 due to third-party booking options. Booking directly with Aer Lingus shows fares at $385.
Compared to Delta, Aer Lingus offered some flexibility with its Saver option for nonstop round-trip flights from PHL to DUB. For example, Aer Lingus has the option to select a seat for an extra $29.99, or you can skip seat selection altogether.
Delta’s basic economy does not let you select a seat, but if you upgrade to select seats the price jumps from around $488 to $638. With Aer Lingus, the fare increases only to $415.21.
At the time of publication, the seating chart for an Aer Lingus flight on Nov. 22 from BOS to DUB showed many seats were still available.

Bottom line
Dublin is filled with history and teems with incredible sights, like the Book of Kells at Trinity College Dublin, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the Guinness Storehouse.
