10 ACTORS THAT ABSOLUTELY HATE THE SHOWS THAT GOT THEM TO STARDOM

" \n In every A-list celebrity movie career, there is always that one role that puts that actor or actress into the spotlight. In the industry, it\u2019s known as their\u00a0\u201cbig break.\u201d\u00a0It is these roles that make them into who they are today and ultimately define their acting career for decades. However, despite that role bringing them great fame and fortune, there are some actors and actresses who wish their fans forgot about those specific roles. \n \n\n \n Over the years as various roles propelled actors and actresses to the higher ranks of celebrities, the more that is revealed how much some detested those roles. For example, Gossip Girl is probably the most-watched teenage drama. It stars Blake Lively as Serena van Der Woodsen and Penn Badgley and Dan Humphries. However, the stars behind those characters fervently wish for these iconic roles to be a distant memory, rather than the label they have for the rest of their career. \n \n\n \n There are many other actors and actresses who feel the same way as this list below shows. \n \n\n \n BLAKE LIVELY \u2013\u00a0 GOSSIP GIRL \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n As mentioned above, Lively wasn\u2019t the biggest fan about her Gossip Girl character. In an interview, she admitted that, \u201cI would not be proud to be the person who gave someone the cocaine that made them overdose and then shot someone and slept with someone else\u2019s boyfriend. People loved it, but it always felt a little personally compromising \u2013 you want to be putting a better message out there.\u201d \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n PENN BADGLEY \u2013 GOSSIP GIRL \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n Similar to what we\u2019ve mentioned before, Blake Lively wasn\u2019t the only one displeased with their role in Gossip Girl. Dan Humphries was another dissatisfied actor and what bugged him the most was the overall show\u2019s message. \n \n\n \n In a 2015 tweet: \u201cLol s*** we are reclining in New York City. I\u2019m posted up like a futon. Talk about an image of white privilege.\u201d \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n MILEY CYRUS \u2013 HANNAH MONTANA \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n Several of the stars on the Disney Channel regretted their decision to be on there. Amongst them was Miley Cyrus when she starred as the famous Hannah Montana for four years. It wasn\u2019t until in 2015 when she admitted there were some definite problems with the role off-camera: \n \n\n \n \u201cI was made to look like someone that I wasn\u2019t, which probably caused some body dysmorphia because I had been made pretty every day for so long, and then when I wasn\u2019t on that show, it was like, \u2018Who the f\u2014- am I?\u2019\u201d \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n WILL SMITH \u2013 THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n Even though Will Smith pretty much played himself in the 90s classic show, he still didn\u2019t feel like his role portrayed his real-life personality entirely. Smith once said: \n \n\n \n \u201cMy life experiences are so far beyond the character\u2019s life experiences. It was almost like a regression for me to play the character.\u201d \n \n\n \n Even so, the show still holds some good memories for him, considering he\u2019s rebooting the show this year and directing it. \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n ANGUS T. JONES \u2013 TWO AND A HALF MEN \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n The celebrity started his rise to fame with the opposite Charlie Sheen in this comedy. The show is extremely popular to this day, however, Angus still has some regrets. That much was clear as he made comments about the show being \u201cfilth\u201d and adding that even though he was on it, he didn\u2019t want to be there. It explains why he left in 2014. \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n ADAM BRODY \u2013 THE O.C. \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n Adam Brody was another teen who made it big in Hollywood. Starring in The O.C. he overall enjoyed his role from 2003 to 2007, however, he got sick of hearing about the role specifically. In an interview he shared: \n \n\n \n \u201cIt gets boring, that\u2019s all. The only way it bothers me \u2013 it\u2019s not that I\u2019m not proud of it \u2013 it\u2019s that I\u2019ve exhausted the conversations about it, in my mind.\u201d \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n SHAILENE WOODLEY \u2013 THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n Shailene is a famous actress and activist who got her big break when she played Amy in this show. The show made her instantly famous, but towards the end, Woodley stated how much she disliked the character she played. \n \n\n \n \u201cTowards the end, morally, the things that we were preaching on that show weren\u2019t aligned with my own integrity. So that was a bit hard to show up to work every day knowing that we were going to project all of these themes to thousands, millions of young adults across the country, when in fact they weren\u2019t what I would like to be sending out.\u201d \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n MANDY PATINKIN \u2013 CRIMINAL MINDS \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n Despite the show being highly successful, Mandy Patinkin left his role by the second season. The reason? He had a personal conflict with the role: \n \n\n \n \u201cThe biggest public mistake I ever made was that I chose to do Criminal Minds in the first place\u2026I never thought they were going to kill and rape all these women every night, every day, week after week, year after year. It was very destructive to my soul and my personality.\u201d \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n EVANGELINE LILLY \u2013 LOST \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n Lost ended up in flames, however, before that, it was a widely popular show. Even so, there were some not satisfied with their role \u2013 such as Evangeline Lilly. Over the course of the six seasons, Lilly had this to share about her character, Kate: \n \n\n \n \u201cI always thought she was obnoxious. I mean, not at the beginning. In the beginning, she was kind of cool, and then as the show went on, I felt like she became more and more obnoxious.\u201d \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n ARIANA GRANDE \u2013 VICTORIOUS AND SAM & CAT \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n Ariana Grande is a mega-star by all standards but started off in two of Nickelodeon\u2019s shows: Victorious and Sam & Cat. However, despite these roles making her beloved by many, she felt \u201cfrustrated\u201d with her role due to the inability to relate to her character: \n \n\n \n \u201cIt was a blessing and one of my childhood dreams came true.
